PLAY SESSIONS 

These sessions are residencies that will be held for a minimum of one month to a maximum of a full term initially, allowing emerging choreographers from around Sri Lanka to explore their creative investigations with dancers who wish to experience various choreographic styles and ideas, thereby providing an opportunity to establish relationships and potential collaborations in the future locally and internationally. By hosting residencies, we support emerging artists with the initial exploration stage through the provision of a space, a group of dancers, and on-site feedback by MeshGround faculty to facilitate and encourage their artmaking. Our hope is that these residencies will in turn give them the foundation to branch off on their own.
